In-Game Description[]
The Keléhn is the result of the Nivelian military realising the imminent need for protection of freighter shipments from Midorian ambushes in border systems. The Keléhn is perfect for neutralising large groups of enemies due to the explosive charges that are magnetically accellerated out of the barrel. This versatile turret also has the option to fire EMP blasts and disable ships instead of destroy them, making it a highly flexible weapon.

The Keléhn is available only with the Diplomatic Relations add-on, and is then the one of the most powerful turrets in the game. It has a range of 8 kilometers, a relatively high firing rate, very good mobility, and 90 damage per second, making it the one of few non-nuclear weapons with this high range of DPS.
This turret is excellent for almost any assignment with the ships capable of mounting a turret, especially the Mammoth, seeing as though it can mount two turrets. The damage dealt by this turret is good enough to handle intense firefights with moderate difficulty. It is also good when used on the Darkzov to conserve missiles - the 8 kilometer range is outside of the tracking distance of enemy ships and the projectile speed is quite fast at 7000 km/h, also, its special scattergun ability gives it the capability to damage multiple ships.
The EMP mode on the Keléhn is unique and is very good for hostage missions, or looting freighters, and another reason to use it on the Darkzov is to prevent the single secondary weapon slot from having to be filled with an EMP weapon of some sort. It has a decent range of 5 kilometres in the EMP mode.
