"This... trip could be the perfect oppurtunity to test out our new ship that we have recently finished developing..."
- Dr. Carla Paolini
In-Game Description[]
An absolute mammoth of a ship, the Mammoth is the most recent innovation of the Terran space fleet and is unique in many ways. It will probably replace the Rhino in most shipping and troop moving applications, as well as becoming popular with merchants and traders.
Notes[]
The Mammoth is the closest one can get to piloting a freighter without piloting an actual freighter and is probably the most armoured and largest non-capital ship in the game. It is essentially a better Rhino with almost all stats being improved, albeit being at a ludicrous price tag. It is great for core mining and plasma mining due it's incredible amount of cargo, armour, and equipment slots combined.
Trivia[]
- The Mammoth looks like a rhino with two small thrusters either side of the cockpit and an open cargo bay at the bottom.
- It also has another turret
- It looks like it could fit a Specter in the cargo bay.
- The cargo bay has what looks like a ray shield underneath it
- This ship is obtained when the Diplomatic Relations add-on is acquired
- It is the only ship to have a two turrets
- It is one of three ships to lack any primary weapons
- It is first encountered in te story line in the first mission where Carla asks you to use it to collect some Void crystals for Khador Drive production at Deep Science and for testing out the ship.
