The Nirai SPP-M50 offers repair capabilities from a distance.
In-Game Description[]
As the Nirai SPP-M50 was rolled out onto the public market, the Nirai SPP-M200 was introduced into the Terran Navy, being more effective in almost every way than the M50, apart from the shortened range. Despite this, stolen blueprints have inevitably found their way onto the black market and into the hands of many wanted criminals, who have used this advanced design to keep their lesser cohorts alive and well.
Notes[]
Repair beams somehow use a focused beam of green energy to repair damage other ships (and sentry guns) have taken. This can repair ships up to five kilometres away and requires no input from its user to operate. Any ships outside its radius will simply not receive any repairs. Ships within it, however, will be repaired. If multiple ships are within range, the closest three will be repaired. The three ships must be considered friendly (indicated as green dots) to the scanner, or else the repair ability will not affect them.'
The 160% repair rate is compared to the repair rate of the SPP-M50 as a 100% control variable
The SPP-M200 is even more effective in keeping a large group of friendly ships alive due to increased count and effectivity of the beam.
This repair beam can only be obtained through completion of one of several blueprints obtained by killing wanted criminals Relnor and Lerson Geléneh
